Each Sling is fully tested, certified and marked with safe working loads, with individual identification numbers.
Single Leg Chain sling;
A length of chain with fittings each end used for lifting in a vertical hitch. This chain sling can be combined with unlimited fittings to suit application.
Double Leg Chain Sling;
Two single leg chain slings joined together by an oblong at the top. This lift chain is rating for both being used simultaneously at 45 or 60 degree angle.
Three Leg chain Sling;
Three single leg chain slings joined together by a special oblong sub-assembly at the top of the lifting chains. Rated for lifting when legs are at a 45 or 60 degree angle from the object.
Four Leg Chain Sling;
Four single leg chain slings assemblies joined by a sub-assembly at the top of the rigging chain. Rated to lift using all 4 legs at 45 or 60 degree angles.
Each can be applied with various end fittings in stainless steel or alloy.
Typical requirements include; Shortening clutches, Grab Hooks, Eye Hooks, Dee Shackles and Eye Bolts.
The working load limits (WLL) listed in the table below are the maximum weights which slings are designed to carry in general lifting services according to the standard uniform load method of rating.
Never exceed the working load limit marked on the sling.
Never use a sling at angles greater than 60º from the vertical
An alternative method of rating may be used for specific lifting application where the angle at which the slings legs are disposed is predetermined. This method allows greater working load limits at angles less than 45º from vertical, always assuming that the sling legs are disposed symmetrically with each leg accepting an equal share of the load to be lifted.
